Learning Expectations:
- Participates in daily discussions.
- Lists all assignments daily on homework sheet and completes on time.
- Parents are asked to sign homework sheet each night after you see the work completed.
- Is proficient in basic facts in addition, subtraction, and multiplication.
- Students are expected to be able to write their first and last name in cursive. In the future, this will be a benefit when they are signing legal documents.
- Uses problem-solving strategies to work out problems.
- Writes with organization and clarity; revises and edits writing.
- Uses correct spelling in assigned tasks and daily writing.
- Produces quality work with best effort.
- Maine’s Common Core Standards expects fourth graders to be able to type a page in a class period. For the first few months of school, we will spend time each day practicing, however, any additional keyboarding practice at home would be beneficial. (www.typingclub.com)
